Back to wall toilet with exposed pan and cistern connections
Discussion
Does such a thing exist? I have a toilet upstairs that I suspect is leaking a little from the pan connector. It's a typical 'back to wall' toilet (With a cistern in the wall behind, which is the boiler cupboard). None of the connections are reachable or visible from the front.
The pan connector goes though a 4.5 inch brick wall (Itself a little difficult to access as a water softener is in the way)
I would like to replace this toilet with a new one that doesn't have the sides go 'all the way back' if this makes sense. Total depth permissible is 570mm (Anything more will foul the door)
Google image search suggests they are all like this

I wanted something like this

(Pan connections visible)
The challenge is 'open backed' ones liek the one above are all closed-cistern toilets. We could use one of these (and dispose of the Cistern) however the flush pipe comes in the top NOT the back. (They are also not designed to be bolted to the wall - introducing a stability problem)
Another option is a high level traditional cistern toilet - and dispose of the cistern e.g.

But again, not designed to be bolted direct to a wall.
Anyone ever had this conundrum and did they get anywhere with it?
My final option might be to remove the softener temporarily and get behind and chop out some more of the wall so you can fully access the pan connector.
Thanks for any thoughts guys.

I know some RAK do a back to wall with exposed pan connections, for instance...
