Thru-Axle on a QR Roofrack

Current Bike Rack setup is a quick release skewer on drop outs and new bike will have Thru-Axles.

Am I right in thinking an adaptor like this will work?

That looks like it converts a thru axle wheel to fit on a quick release bike.

You may very well be right, I just thought it might go through the hollow axle on the fork?

That should work, I have something similar for my feedback sports roller trainer where there is an insert for the 12x100 thru axle to allow a qr skewer/fork to be connected.

That adaptor will not work, what your asking is not possible you will need to convert or change your rack to thru axle
