Apologies in advance for what might seem like a slightly bizarre thread. I’ve been reading up a bit on Chinese emperors and concubines and as part of that how males working in the royal household were castrated as they had to be eunuchs. Rather fascinating if uncomfortable subject (if you are a man!) Apparently they started off just cutting off the testes (as too many died from having both cut off) but eventually they “perfected” the operation so that both could be removed with an acceptable death rate!!
I could hardly imagine much worse. However losing any part of your body must be bad. So if you were forced into a choice, what would you choose to lose first?

I read about that a few years ago, as far as I can remember the improved method was to completely emasculate the 'lucky' boy, then insert a hot copper tube directly into urethra before cauterising the larger wound.
If they didn't bleed to death during the procedure, or later one from a urethra blockage or infection, they could look forward to a life of being a boy until they died.

t we used to do to each other and still do sometimes. We're not that civilised really.

Slightly O/T...
The religious vow of celibacy was seen as an improvement on castration, but the logic was the same. If one is unable to produce offspring, then in theory there should be no incentive to feather one's nest to benefit said offspring, and instead one's life work was for the benefit of society as a whole.
I suggest castrating MPs. For the same reason, of course. A vow of celibacy is unlikely to work in their case.

This day and age surely you would pick to lose a leg. You could get a fake one and still do almost anything you could beforehand. I'm assuming we aren't going back in time for the procedure
I mean also imagine the stress and hormone problems you would also suffer not busting a nut. Nah ill pass on that

I use my penis regularly. I also use my arms and legs but I’d cut any of those off before my long John. I have a wife to keep happy as well so it’s a pretty selfless decision really…
I wouldn't worry too much about it... your wife seemed pretty happy after I left yesterday. Easy answer. Apart from anything else, a prosthetic arm can have different attachments so could be more versatile than the v1.
I once read a thread on Reddit where someone had penile cancer and was facing the choice between amputation and death. The poster preferred death, his wife preferred amputation. That sounds like a tougher decision.
