Currently putting a boot room together. Trying to find decent iron work coat hooks is a challenge.

All cheap spindly chinese repro. Seems these are churned out by the million and priced depending on the nerve of the reseller. Even the reclamation places are passing this rubbish off with a ‘vintage style’ tag.

I want something like my old school pegs!! Or nice art deco pieces.

Any ideas/recommendations?

Find an actual blacksmith?

Or if you want school style, we have three of these - https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/kartotek-rack-with-5-...

Show me a single listing on eBay that is a genuine, quality item and not the aforementioned cheap tat.

I gave up…

I could find information about where they're sourced from, but I've bought things from here before and the quality had been good.

Maybe get a pre-made one with 8 hooks? Can't recall where ours came from but it's similar to this.

Nah, this is part of a bepoke boot room build by a top joiner.

Puny hooks mounted on a bit of timber by two feeble screws is not what im after.

They look ok actually.

140mm, four screws…. Are the backplates thin, or nice and sturdy? Has the finish held up?
