Hi looking for external stereo mic for my Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FZ330 to record motorsport.

Any ideas/feedback with others setups thanks.

Not as an easy a question to answer as you'd imagine. Much depends on exactly what you're shooting, why and how you'll set the film out.

Most external mics are directional so only pick up sound from immediately in front of the mic - well, not exactlyl, imagine a narrow cone emanating from the mic. This is what you need for on track action.

But if you want to film the hustle and bustle of the paddock, pits, grid or the general ambience, you need an omni-directional mic that picks up sounds from a wider span.

I'm not familiar with your camera but if it has the capacity to record two channels, I'd get a decent directional mic added on and feed this into one channel and use the onboard mic for min directional stuff fed into the second. You can adjust both in the edit.
