They seem to be very new (circa 6 months).

Anyone had any dealings with them? Any feedback?

Going to view below 458 with them:

Have you booked a physical viewing with them directly?

Nothing overtly suspicious, but a quick scan of their website:

Copyright states 2023
Privacy policy and T&C links don't work (404 - not found)
Address is 'Chelsea Cloisters Garage' - which seems to be either a car park / valet, or repair shop, or showroom, or a combo

Their Instagram follower count is very low too - with photos of said 458 from Dec 19 2024.

Again none of this is outrageous / alarming, just curious. Be interesting to know if you spoke to someone and have an appointment.

So yes, I called them today and have an appointment for Saturday. The garage owner had to ask my details a couple of times - their english was a little broken. Anyway, the car needs a few bits (service, break pads) from talking to him.

Again, they are very new business so wanted to see if anyone here has dealt with them.

The lack of reviews / small following would corroberate their newness - go in with eyes wiiide open and perhaps do one of those fancy online checks in advance so you have all the facts you can gather prior to visiting.

I'd be curious to know if they have a showroom at all - no streetview data as such, and I do wonder if they are an outfit directly linked to the repair shop of the same address.

The car itself looks great though. Hope all is ok, with usual 'buyer-beware' caveats of course!

If I was ever in a position to buy something like this I would be going to a Ferrari main dealer or one of the well known independents that have been dealing in Ferraris for years.
Ferrari Approved have a similar 458, also a 2010 with slightly more miles for the same money.
A new business, maybe no premises, broken English, car needs a few jobs doing - all would put me right off unless the discount was substantial.

How did it go?

I saw this on AT for £108k and then on their website it's £125k which I found a bit strange - didn't make any enquiries.

I was waiting on a car report to come through from them - I did have to call 3 times to ask for it last week. I have shared the Report with an independent ferrari specialist and should have an idea of cost to put right - it needs a fair bit done to it.

Begs the question.. why bother with it? I'm not too well clued on these so maybe it's worth the steeple chase, but there are quite a few for sale right now with comparable specs, albeit out of central London (with a real address).

I also spotted this one. I mean even with 5-10k to spend it would be good value if the mileage is genuine.

It’s a good spec with goldrake seats, carbon where you need it etc. It’s looks like a good deal if it checks out.

I would actually have it properly inspected by the indie rather than rely on a report but need to start somewhere..

I really don't like the lack of detail on that listing. They've not even shown a photo of the milage nor anything about servicing. I'm always wary too of any sellers who obfuscate the numberplate. Checking the MOT history is one of the best ways to see unfiltered how the car has been kept (same minor reported over multiple years, failures for simple things like tyres etc). I'd also be not bothering i think, based on your experience of the seller. Broken English is a massive red flag for me (I don't want any misunderstanding or ambiguity to muddy the transaction, if I ask a question I want it fully understood and fully answered), as is having to chase them.

There's plenty of these out there, don't rush and risk saddling yourself with a car worth half the sticker price.

So what happened here?

Good one sold for 100k + fees on CC yesterday evening. Arguably better spec and newer. Less carbon but you can easily retrofit that..

It's not uncommon for dealers with stealable stock to be discreet about the physical location of the cars and their address. I was test driving Subaru Imprezas a few years back and went to see the registered address, it was a scruffy shed on an industrial estate with no signage at all. However he was a very honest and professional dealer with great cars and was a pleasure to work with. The cars were all hidden in another location.

So it could be the case here that a condition of the dealers insurance policy is that he doesn't have the address or location of the cars on the website.

Also, car storage is expensive in London so I would imagine that the cars are in a warehouse outside the M25. He probably brings the cars in to London for a customer or will take you out to the warehouse. I would expect this to be how it works.

Going back to "would I buy it"... I think that I'd be a lot happier going to a dealer like Rardleys, Bell Sport Classics, Dick Lovett etc where they have a service centre and so can check over everything for you.
