Hi All,

As the title says I sadly let my 675 LTS go as I moved to Dubai and need LHD.

I havent owned a Ferrari since my 458 which was around 13 years ago. I have owned almost all the 991 and 992 gt cars.

My short list at the moment is:
- 812SF
- F8 Spider
- 765LT or maybe the spider (prices still seem high)
- Bentley GT Speed

The speed is on the list because I have 2 boys and rear seats are a bonus.

I am open to other ideas.

Please share your first hand impressions and advice.

812SF is so different from the others. I’d had F430, two 458’s and a 488 Spider and now coming up to my 5th year of ownership with the 812. Just can’t find anything I want to replace it with. Still think the pre GPF cars are the best sounding Ferrari engine ever and it does totally dominate the experience. Once you get over the initial intimidation and get to learn the car, it gives back in spades. A short test drive doesn’t do it justice, but I’ve a friend who just never jelled with his (but he only give it 6 weeks!).
It is a supercar and not a GT but the front/mid engine set up makes it unique and it drives unlike any other car I’ve ever had. Also nice I can stick two sets of golf clubs in the boot and get away on a road trip with stacks of storage.

Portofino / Superleggera if you want rear seats. If its for Dubai 911 turbo?

Lots of speed bumps in Dubai so good ground clearance or lift is a must. Spirited driving can only be done in the desert or ideally up in the mountains in RAK or Fujairah so any drive out is a good half day. Weekend trips to Oman are a blast! Dubai autodrome and Yas regularly have trackdays on and the UAE has super smooth roads so you can daily a track orientated car there no worries. Cars without amazing ac won't cool the cabin adequately in the summer (May - September). A lot of cars suffered from flood damage in 2024 so be mindful when buying, I'd suggest an independent inspection from the likes of ARM before pulling the trigger.

If it were me I'd go for a 765lt, pista or performante and ideally open top. Ferraris and Lamborghinis are engineered well for the climate and in my experience have operated well throughout the year. For four seats a 911 turbo cab or a DBS Volante (if you have small children) and perhaps supplement it with a track toy. 4 wheel drive provides valuable grip when venturing out of the city as roads can sometimes get very slippery, you need be very careful with overpowered rear wheel drive cars.

If you're interested in an 812 but also would use rear seats, is it worth adding a GTC4Lusso V12 to the shortlist?

On the McLaren front a 750S Spider looks to be a lot less than a 765LT but is described as being halfway between a 720S and the LT to drive, it's also that bit more modern and perhaps better built, so might be worth considering?
