If Tiptronic is to your liking then as its a Jersey car originally then it will have been cared for at no-expense. All Porsches from Jersey have impeccable history.

You are, I imagine, taking the piss.

OP - a high mileage tip that you've got to get back into the country. I assume you'll be taxed to get it here. Is it worth it?

I am merely pointing out the service will be impeccable. All Jersey cars are - its not like the mainland with loads of independent Porsche garages. They always will main dealer history (or OakRidge, the only RPM'esque specialist on the island). Whats so wrong with that? I don't follow you.

Jersey is 9 miles long and 5 miles wide. Ask yourself how this car managed to clock up 229,000 km, and how much legal recourse you may or may not have against a dealer in Jersey if it all goes pear-shaped.

I've seen Porsches from Jersey with quite murky histories.

The only honest opinion will be an independent mechanic, when they put that car into a ramp and look underneath at least for 30 mins.

Engine, Exhaust, cooling, transmission and ofcourse suspension.

All those together, or alone might cost a bomb or it might be clean car and you might get away just for annual servicing for a few years.

I remember a Porsche 911 Turbo I was offered from Jersey that was as clocked as Elizabeth Tower. The dealer used Jersey's size as the explanation for why the car's interior was knackered. "Lots of short journeys".

The French government provides a free service called HistoVec, which allows vehicle sellers to share their vehicle's history with potential buyers. This report includes details such as the date of first registration, ownership history, recorded accidents, administrative status (e.g., if the vehicle is stolen or has outstanding finance), and technical characteristics like make, colour, and engine specifications.

To access a HistoVec report, the vehicle owner must input the vehicle's registration number and other relevant details into the HistoVec system. They can then generate a report and share it with prospective buyers.

Or otherwise use Car Vertical...they operate in France

Better to buy a left hooker if you're in France? I'm sure you've got, would get, a 'blip and go' SANEF/EMOVIS tag, but a righthand drive in France can be a pain.

Someone's changed the pedals to metal, can't explain why, but I'd be wary.

So it's done nearly 200,000 in 4 years?
