I’ve noticed someone has hit the front of my 128ti and holed the bumper as well as taking some paint off. Does anyone have an idea of repair costs? It’s a weekend so I’d like to somewhat prepare myself for the impending shock of quotes I’ll get. I’m expecting even this level of damage may require a whole new bumper? I might end up trying to ignore it as I’m sure the costs will be vast.

Smart repair will sort that between £250 and £400

It’s the rip/hole that I am more worried about as I assume that’s not easy/possible to repair and if I go to BMW they’ll want to replace the entire bumper.

Don't go to BMW then unless you want to be,,,,,,,,,,,,,,. Go to a decent local independent bodyshop.

Some if not all BMW $tealers do smart repairs...... Find a decent local bodyshop/smart repair £2-300quid.

I had a similar damage on my 6 and it was around £220.

Thanks all.

If it did end up being thousands I’d probably ignore it as I’m sure I’ll get more damage from other people as I have to street park. Thousands just wouldn’t be worth it and I’d rather go on holiday!

I do this for a living as a smart repairer for a national business, we would quote £250+vat.
That would be to plastic weld the rip, repair and paint the bumper corner and the black plastic trim with a lifetime guarantee. As someone said above £200-£400ish should cover a high level smart repair.

Did something very similar to my Alfa Giulia by driving into my house wink It was £250 with a smart repairer. Did a fantastic job.

I almost wish I did it myself. It would be marginally less annoying. Sadly I guess this is the risk of street parking.

It's in an odd location for someone else to hit. I would have expected it to be higher up if that was the case. When I first saw it I was expecting you to say it was caused by being hit by a bit of debris or caught it on a high kerb when parking. Luckily though it doesn't look like it will be too expensive to fix.

I was parked at the end of a road that leads to a lane. I suspect someone failed to turn the corner properly into the lane and scraped my car. To make it even more annoying, the last time I’d touched the car was to fully clean it!

If anyone is in South Wales could you recommend anywhere to get this done?
