Laguna iii Coupe 2.0t
Discussion
Sold my 630i a couple of weeks ago and went back into my Giuletta, brilliant car.
I love coupe's though... Spotted this on FB marketplace.
Clean MOT, reasonable mot history, not crazy miles and MOT until December.
Test drive at 10am, goes well and steers very well, needs a bit of loving tlc.
Paid, got the paperwork and single key card, collecting in the morning.
I likes it, for £850 I loves it.

Collected and appraised a bit more... Love it, somehow reminds me of many Alfa's I've owned.
Little traits like the radio reacting to road imperfections, unless you push the seat down hard when changing position it shoots back when you accelerate.
I like the gentle beep of the horn when you walk away and it locks itself.
No the bad bits... I knew about the hole in the back bumper... I didn't hpi or ask... I can break it and scrap the rest for what I paid.
It has had a good shunt in the rear, not pulled back out and the holed bumper must be a replacement.
Now one thing springs to mind... Once I got it home, the owner and his father were stood at their gate, I opened the boot, father came quickly over and stood on the side that would show damage inside, he pulled stuff over to that corner and opened the compartments covers, he pointed at everything away from the corner... So is he mind and helpful... Or ?????????
I have so far given it a basic Clean and vac, removed rusty head locking wheel nuts, checked tyre inflation kit, replaced missing bolts, clips ECT in the engine bay, cleaned up the engine cover and a few bits.
Missing a washer bottle cap and bonnet insulation.
Ordered filters, plugs and oil.
Hand applied G3 to headlight, got them 50% better, I'll remove and do them properly soon.
Plan is to put on the road April 1st (I know) once I know I'm on the right track with engine/running gear I'll get a remap for 240bhp.

I was behind one of these the other day. At a distance I was wondering what it was and how good the rear looked.
Got closer and very surprised it was a Laguna.
Good looking car and you got a bit of a bargain I think.
Agree, I always thought these were fine looking cars and far removed from their saloon counterparts - in the same way that Peugeot came up with the Coupe version of the 406.Got closer and very surprised it was a Laguna.

Just realised that Renault produced a 350Z - engined version of the coupe. Interesting …..
1st weekend off in months... New spark plugs, waiting on air/oil filter.
Drivers seat is not locking on the runners, removed it, pita, under the car for fasteners, under a floor panel.
Worked it out... Front lever operates a little mechanism which had seized... Copious amounts of brake cleaner, gt85 and finally white grease got it working.
Next front bearing hub removal, new one on the way... Many seized bolts, finally won the battle with no breakage or blood.
Wheel arch liner was loose, thought I'd remove it, clean inside and fit correctly.
Found plastic covered sponge bags inside, they may at some stage have reduced vibration/noise, now all they do is hold moisture against the inner panels... Now in the bin.
First French car I have worked on, I'm loving it.
