Hi all - hoping someone can advise here.

My mother has a 2019 F57 Cooper running on standard 15" wheels.
The front offside tyre constantly triggers a "low tyre pressure" warning.
After pumping the tyre to 2.6bar as recommended, after around 2-3 weeks the in-car tyre pressure gauge shows 2.0bar and starts issuing warnings each time on start up. You pump up the tyre and then again after 2-3 weeks - same issue.

Been to Kwik-Fit who took the wheel off and examined the tyre and valve and said they could not find anything obvious.

Could this be a sensor problem ?

Thanks in advance

The answer is no, it is reading correctly as you have stated yourself.

It is obvious there is a leak, just because your chosen tyre monkey didn't find it doesn't mean it isn't there.

As above, as the tyre is loosing pressure this points to a leak rather than a faulty Tyre Pressure Monitor.

I know that the valve stems can fail over time, so it could be this if there is no obvious slow punctures or cracks in the wheel.

Take it to an Independent Tyre garage for a second opinion rather then one of the usual chains.

Take the wheel off and submerge it in water (or spray soapy water around the valve, bead, and tread). Bubbles will show the leak.

Examined the tyre and valve, but what about the wheel itself?

Sounds like the tpms is doing it's job. Pressures drops, warning alerted, you check and confirm loss of pressure and add air. Repeat.
