Saturday 8th March

We've amassed 4 cars over the past few years and now want to 'realign'. We'll be going down to 3 cars max!

Looking for a 'premium' vehicle - We've had Honda's over the years and love the reliability but, compared to Volvo's We've had, the build quality and sound deadening isn't quite there! We'd like a car that has the attributes of a volvo but the reliability of a Honda. Not fussed by engine size/mpg. Wife tends to prefer SUV style cars.

Requirements

-Main car. Can carry 4 or 5 adults comfortably.
- Space in the boot for 1 or 2 25kg dogs.
- Petrol or hybrid. Does less than 10 miles daily for work commute.
- Can tow a 1500kg caravan.
- Maxi £415 RFL but ideally cheaper.
--15k Max outlay

What would you suggest?

Not really sure a Superb will be that much of an improvement over any comparable Honda.

I drive them occasionally and always get the impression that despite the size of them they still feel like a cheap car, which I guess they are. Even the range topping L&K versions still drive amd feel like a car with fairly budget underpinnings. I'm also not sure anything VAG will be any more reliable than a Volvo.

Not sure what 15k gets you but some sort of Lexus RX might be worth a look.

Thanks for the replies so far. Neighbour across the street has a Superb 4x4 Estate. Wife has, unfortunately, never pointed it out ans said she likes the look of that! That said - you've reminded me she has mentioned liking the Skoda SUV's tho. I'll have a gander.

RX is an interesting one and would be up my street. Definitely worth a look. The seem rare tho and none within 50miles on Autotrader frown
