Afternoon everyone. In the very near future I shall be buying a place of my own. Won't be that large, probably just a 1 bed flat. Excited and anxious at the same time. Considering it's size and being just for me, are there any good websites I can go to that has ideas on how to decorate and make use of a smaller place?

Thanks, Simon.

A trip to IKEA can provide some interesting ideas for smaller spaces.

Instagram has a massive amount of house accounts where people show their houses, great place to get ideas.

I still like this Terence Conran book but as I'm pretty ancient you might like the 'New' edition of it.
I did spot a Dulux advert where the word 'colour' was mentioned so maybe the 50 shades of grey murk is on the way out at last.
There are some very good videos on Youtube on how to use rollers & brushes. Good luck with it!

And then when you get home wonder how you managed to spend 150 on a load of glasses, plates, kitchen utensils and other crap you didn't want.

Go onto the paint manufacturers websites. There are always nice pictures of individual rooms, showing colours / decor that works.

Farrow and Ball, Dulux, Sanderson, Little Green Paint co, Fired Earth, Crown.

There’s a few AI apps available now where you photograph the room and then it generates ideas, worth a google to see which are best
