Addicted to seasonal holidays
Discussion
We usually have a break after Easter (to south of France) then a two week in late sept/oct around the kids holidays and Mrs FSD's birthday, this year is different I'm getting married and we have a son going to school in September so plan on going away before the school holidays in the middle of June.
April this year will be a smaller "budget" Man Maths trip with a 5 day banger for some time away from the UK to Normandy from Poole/Cherbourg, cheaper than flying down south and getting a car (Man Maths Page 2). Brittany Ferries are doing 5 day specials at 200 quid return and then we have just found a nice couple of rental options, booking one last night just in case nothing else surfaces in Hermanville Sur Mer (Near Caen). It has a jacuzzi for the evenings
This will be our third trip to Normandy, all of them where we've stayed in Bayeux and when previously doing trips out to Ouistreham, Honfleur etc they offer a lot so looking forward to it for the evening meals on this side of Normandy.
-One day im looking at a day trip into Paris from Caen, it's 2 hours on train and 100 quid return for us all , am I mad squeezing a day trip in? I see it no different to going up to London from Poole tbh time wise (if not less).
-Another day I've seen a theme park to the East of Caen called Festyland, it looks cheap enough (80 quid for 3 of us) but has anyone been?
Other days I'm sure we'll have some WW2 marks to see not seen yet! Any other recommendations are appreciated
Yes addicted to routine holidays and spending hopeful bonuses that arrive in April.
