Looking at the orientation of the wipers, is this an ex-US or EU car? (the former seeming more likely)

Hello, In regard to the orientation of the windscreen wipers, I really do not know, I have never taken an interest in their configuration so the question has taken me completely by surprise. As far as I am aware this is a UK car, but as so many were exported it is not unreasonable to think it may have been reimported back to the UK at some point. Sorry I cannot give a definite answer.

Actually, I was wrong - just browsed through a sufficient amount of pictures to ascertain that.
Apologies!

(btw, a Heritage certificate from BMHT provides some useful info on the original configuration and delivery, might be interesting for a future owner)

Hi, is there any corrosion to goal posts or inner sills?

I am afraid you will have to rely on the photographs, any corrosion could mean a very small amount or a lot. There is no obvious serious corrosion that I have seen but I have not got down on my hands and knees and examined the car that closely. The previous owner saw the car stripped down before it was resprayed and said it was very solid, I have subsequently kept it in an air chamber and never taken it out in the wet.

The following was sent to me by the previous owner who was an enthusiast if this helps.

I will take the photos tomorrow and get them to you.
Finding a classic car that had been unmolested in as near original condition is always difficult. I found that to be the case when looking for an E-Type having looked and disregarded so many. I had almost given up when I came across the one you saw today.
It was the same with the MGA. I looked at so many but when I saw the one I bought I knew that it was a good one. A low number of owners is generally a good starting point. The chassis structure, floor, cross-members and suspension parts are in very good order. I was able to see the body panels before the respray and there was no evidence of crash damage. The respray was reasonable but not up to Coy’s auction standards. This doesn’t concern me too much as Sue & I enjoy using the car and don’t worry too much leaving it parked or taking it on car ferries etc.
I have refurbished the seats with new foam and leather seat covers. Even with my bad back I find I am comfortable for several hours driving.
If you get to eventually view it and drive it you will find it is very precise on the road with a smooth clutch and slick gear change.
It doesn’t burn much oil and runs with a clear exhaust. I have always maintained my cars to the highest standard and carried out regular oil / filter changes.
It has never failed an MOT and I will be happy to supply it with a new MOT.
Hope this is useful background info.
