Not seen this mentioned so I thought I'd post it. Event at Caffeine&Machine "The Hill" this Friday 7th March starting at 5:00 pm

Aston Martins and some other car company that seems now to be mostly pink biggrin

Anyone else going? I've just booked a ticket for the Onyx V8V and the wife, so if anyone is there and sees a tall idiot with long grey hair and a grey goatee (if the sun's out I'll be wearing shades and failing horribly to look cool) then come over and say high. Or not.

For those not in the know, C&M The Hill is located near Ettington, close to Stratford-upon-Avon.in Warwickshire. Pub grub (the pizzas are good), coffee (obviously) and a bar. I have no connection - just go there fairly regularly, mostly on Sunday mornings

Unless an XJ13 turns up I predict a win for Aston Martin.

Too far for me but enjoy the show.

It’s gone a bit pants . Last time I went food was cold and expensive . Carpark full of cars with their front number plates on top of the dashboard .
Won’t go back .

That's a shame Paul that it's at "The Hill". It's a bit out of my reach for a 5 pm on a friday from my work, otherwise i'd have made an appearance.

There's also an exact same event at "The Hut"
https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/aston-martin-vs-jag...
Which is Hampshire.

Good turnout, about a dozen AM by the time I left at 6ish. Just after Mac and his McLaren. LTP were you wearing an AMHT cap?

Yep, that was me. I chatted to Mac for a bit, then a few guys I knew from my time at Gaydon turned up and I fell into conversation with them (I hope Mac didn't think I was being rude). What were you in?

Stella and I debated about getting a pizza there but as the light was fading decided to come home. Agreed it was quite a good turnout, especially for so early in the year - mainly VH cars, with a few 2C models. At least two Rapides, which is unusual. Evening events will get better once the clocks change.

Funnily, I didn't see a single car with its numberplate on the dashboard.

I was in my DB4 parked outside the building. The McGurk's car had the trade plates in the windscreen

Silver Birch? Arrived about 5:30? Certainly caught some attention - definitely a grand entrance to an Aston meet thumbup

And I don’t think it was trade plates being referred to biglaugh

The classic Vantage shape - you know it makes sense, Mac biggrin

Not silver birch, Citroen "Argent" from about 1983. Of the 75 DB5 in Silver Birch made with black interiors, all 230 survive! Or whatever numbers

Surely one shouldn't be surprised to see a poster whose Pistonheads name is DB4DM to turn in a DB4. hehe
