What can cause a/c control bulbs blowing on Peugeot 207 2008
Discussion
Just replaced both bulbs last week because one was blown. Not a pleasant job.
And one of the new ones has gone. Not the same one as previously.
The bulbs came from a Peugeot main dealer not from the Internet.
They are the W5 type with wires coming out that push into a holder which is then inserted and twisted 90'.
Any suggestions? Is there a more reliable LED replacement? Is the voltage regulator on the way out or is it just back luck.
Thanks.

Did you handle the bulb with your fingers?
This doesn't make any significant difference for regular incandescents, it's halogen bulbs (typically headlight) that can die prematurely from grease on the envelope.OP might just be unlikely and had a premature bulb failure, it does happen. However the previous ones being blown and the new one blowing very quickly makes a fault more likely. If you have a suitable DMM it's worth measuring system voltage with the engine running to ensure you aren't seeing anything higher than 14.5v.
