Give em a break, the old dinosaur type members are slowly on the way out, get to a meet at some of the more pro-active regions such as Hampshire and Kent and you will pleasantly surprised.

Sprint is coming on in leaps and bounds too.

And the best thing about the TVRCC forums is the lack of trolls and time wasters. You can ask questions and get honest replies. This combined with Sprint makes for a club well worth joining.

Well I registered over there last night. I think if the trolls continue over here and the constant negativity about TVR then I will migrate over there permenantly as sad as that would be.

Must be close to a record for the TVRCC forums.

I have to say that I would always look here first and then check here again if I wanted to know anything TVR related before I looked on the TVRCC forums. Sometimes you go there and you're the only member there. It can be a lonely and desolate place, whereas here you can find someone to insult you at the drop of a hat.

Why not move the TVRCC forums to PH. Whatever Ted would charge would have to be a lot less than we're paying for what is a pretty poor club website. We could use the money saved to improve Sprint.

It was discussed a couple of years back but I didn't feel it would be a wise move for PH (or the club) in the long run.

Personally I think the club site is good (as good if not better than most clubs') and the forum is obviously going from strength to strength.

PH and the TVRCC have different agendas and I'm happy to see them sitting side by side as they are now rather than try to mesh things together.

I agree.

There is plenty of room for both and as the Car Club site is growing I don't see the point of putting them together.

Thing is, it's a chicken and egg situation.
As the Car Club site grows, more money will be made available for enhancements....

I would like to see an easier log in...and that is under discussion I believe.

Rev ...you're quite right...and us ROs will defend our right to our words till the end....

Maybe not as part of pistonheads itself,, but outsourcing the forums would be an excellent idea, ie it could look like the tvr site, but be hosted/managed by the outsourcer, pistonheads could be an obvious provider, perhaps a good business case for other clubs as well.

I'm sure it would be more cost effective, and manageable for the club.
