Hi all,

Looking to remove the cam cover on the Tamora and referb. Do I need to remove the spark plugs as well as the cap head bolts and nuts?

Is it an easy job to get the silicone seal to break? Tapping with a soft hammer etc.

Any help would be great.

Cheers.

You don't need to remove the sparkplugs, but you do need to remove the spark plug cover (With TVR on it)

The silicon sealant should come away with gentle persuasion, use plastic tools, to avoid damaging the casing and the head and soft hammer to tap as you go. Keep at it, it will eventually come and once its started it gets much easier. Make sure you clear any silicon snot that drops into the head, you dont want that in the oil system.

The spark plug cover usually says "Speed Six". Here in black with silver lettering.

The best place to apply tools is at the top left of the valve cover (when standing on the passenger side and looking at the engine).
