I recently bought a new setofwheels for my 2019Connect but the original locking nutswont fit asthey aretoo large for the hole they're going into. I've bought a new set of smaller diameter locking nuts but the thread is too small. Google insists it's an M12 thread but it looks more like 14 to me?
Measure twice order once.
Did you measure the threads, bore of the hole, diameter of the head of the volt etc? There are many types of locking nut, and not all have an external fitting ‘key’ so can work in some tight bolt recess areas. Also make sure your bolt seat is of the correct type to match the wheel.

Have you tried measuring one of the other 4 nuts on the wheel and checking them for size?
All the holes will be the same size.

A Ford dealer (parts dept) should be able to match the wheel nuts you need off the chassis number/number plate.

First of all, thank you for your reply.
I did measure twice, I measured 3 or 4 times actually, and every time I could see it clearly wasn't an M12 thread but went with every single Google post and online retailer I could find that said it was an M12. When they arrived my doubts were confirmed, it isn't an M12. But, really, thank you for taking the time to post such a patronising reply, I hope it filled up even just a little of your empty day and made you feel vastly superior to me in every way expected. ?? ??
Blimey, and that was my non patronising version too. Flouncing aside, what measurement did you get on your old locking nuts, where did you measure it, and what did you measure it with?
