Hello All,
When I purchased my flooded DB9 Volante the top mechanism worked just fine. So since it's arrival, I replaced all electronics but all along, the top worked just fine.
About 6 weeks ago, it stopped working and just gave me a message "roof fail" and an annoying bip, bip, bip.
Two days ago I finally got the car to start and I ran an OBD2 diag on it and erased a bunch of codes. The motor light is now gone and I still need to do the passenger side diag. My answer may be there however.
So today, a new message came up and is giving me hope that the problem can be solved with some computer magic.
The new message is "roof movement paused".
Has anyone encountered this message and if so, how did you fix it?
Thanks for your help and input.
Francis

A "pause" message is normal if you take your finger off the button before top is fully open or closed. Otherwise, it may be that a sensor (correctly or not) has detected a latch that has not done its job. Could be in the tonneau mechanism or roof rail latching, or a faulty sensor. I have had occasion where I have gotten that message and had to press down on the tonneau cover when top is lowered to fully engage the back latches. ('14 Vantage roadster)
