Widest front tyres?
Discussion
They should fit.
I have F215/45 R17 with a note in the book to try 235/45 R17.
R245/40 R17.

It’s a bit of a risk, you might be ok. No two TVRs are the same.
I had 225 on mine, ET30 on 18x8 inch front wheels and they would occasionally rub on full lock. I then installed 7mm spacers and Gaz Mono coilovers, which helped but it would still rub every now and again.
I’m now running 7x17 (ET25) on the front with 215/40/17 tyres, and it never rubs.
Andrew.

Your proposed setup has been the same as what's been on my Chim for over 20 years, besides a +27 (off memory) offset on the front and a 265/35r18 rear. Depending on body alignment/placement and tyre block squareness, you will get a rub at full lock on the headlamp access panel. 235/40r17 F1's just kissed the inner skin of the outer wing on some bumps. Nankangs ns 2r's' on at the moments are definitely causing more of a rub but not enough to groove the tyre. If you could get a +30 offset for the front you could play around with spacers to find a sweet spot perhaps,
I can't see any issue with a 245/35r18 with 9's fouling the rear with that offset. I bit the bullet and merged the inner and outer wings to a knife edge for the 265 and could comfortably gain another 5mm on the inner and outer.

My rears are the same tyre size (245/35/18) but on an 8 inch (ET30) wheel. My ride height is lower than standard. Occasionally on a roadtrip with full boot I get rubbing on the outside edge of the tyre against the wheel arch edge when I go down bumps or large undulations. This wouldn’t be an issue running standard ride height.
When I next change the rear tyres, I might go for 235 or 225 to get a squarer edge on the tyre. Currently 245 looks a little too bulgy for me.
