Hybrid bike reccomendations pretty please!
Discussion
Hi all,
Looking to get my first bike (since I was a kid at least lol). I was thinking Hybrid Sport would be my best bet, I'll be doing mostly road with maybe some light trails, nothing too crazy. Just trying to find a way to improve fitness and lose weight without slogging it out in the gym
Budget somewhere around 500, but this is flexible as I'll be using a cycle to work scheme.
Did a bit of browsing and found these two options which seem fairly highly rated, do these seem like good bets to you guys?
All the best x

Try and support your local bike shop if you can.
They may even let you try several bikes, have used bikes or ex demos for sale.
It may seem like a punishment when you first start cycling again. BUT stick at it and it opens a whole new world up for you.
Giant Roams may be in your bracket: I did a cycle tour of Albania (around 40m per day) and Roams were supplied as part of the package.
I have a Giant Toughroad. These can be found heavily discounted now.
Good luck.

Would definitely prefer to do this, but I think my cycle to work scheme just provides a voucher for halfords - I'll see what turns up though. They may even let you try several bikes, have used bikes or ex demos for sale.

This is a whole lot of bike for the money. I’ve had one for a couple of years, and it does what the reviews say it does.
