CO poisoning or something perhaps?

Can’t believe anyone would kill their dog in a suicide pact.

Never even realised he was 95!

Anyway, as above, certainly could be CO poisoning

Gutted when I read this in the news just now.

Yes I am thinking some sort of terrible accident at home.

I grew up in the 80s watching his movies, he will always be Lex Luther!

He's done well at 95.... but the whole scenario sounds like a preventable tragedy frown
SO many characters played, that defined an era.
As said...Lex Luthor for one...

very sad.

That's weird.

Literally yesterday I saw a SM post wishing him a happy 95th birthday. Hadn't thought about him in years and then the next day this.

RIP.

Great, great actor.

I'll remember him as Avery in The Firm and, of course, Lex Luthor.

Fantastic actor played some wonderful parts and had turned his hand to writing novels, that's awful news.

That would be my thinking too plus his wife was only 63.

What a shame.

I realisevhe was 95, but that's such a sad situation.

Always loved Gene Hackman, an actors actor, was in military I believe so brought a realness to those roles.

I just watched Bat 21 the other day too.

Very sad news. He was a great actor and I enjoyed all his films - favourites include Superman, Crimson Tide, Hoosiers, and the French Connection.

Yep - his performance as Avery in The Firm is great - a rather jaded. disillusioned and sleazy character who, somehow, Hackman was able to make us feel sympathetic to.

Born in '81, so GH is Lex Luthor to me but I also want to throw Under Suspicion into the mix!
