Alive or dead if you could pick three guys to stand on a podium after watching them race, who they be?
For me it would be Wayne Rainey, Kenny Roberts and probably Mike Hailwood, I never saw Mike race and I only saw Wayne and Kenny as a kid, but the legacy all three leave is amazing, for me there has never been anyone quite like Wayne, even though he was American the shock of the accident this was when I first got into 500's the sadness of Schwantz winning it, then seeing Wayne in the pits for years, I even wimped out of getting his autograph once, had the t-shirt on and everything, but just couldn't do it lol!!,
same for Kenny, I did see him at the end of his career but for what he did as an owner and especially with the KR team what a guy and more than Sheene, for me Mike was someone I never saw but realised very young he was perhaps one of the finest ever, he could ride and win on anything, as could others, but to come back as he did and also be a decent F1 driver, how cool.

Great Topic.
I too would choose Wayne Rainey. There were some wonderful racers around at that time, but Wayne just had the edge. I witnessed as a 15 year old his first win at Donington on a very hot August day in 1988.
Next to Wayne, I’d like to see Carl Fogarty (should have been a 500cc World Champion) and Alan Carter.
