Not that there aren't many amusing moments but....

I suggested we sell the family wagon of much efficency and boredom for the perfect family car....

A cerbera :yikes::D

She didn't see it my way, but I'll work on her.

Best of luck, chief.

I've been lumbered with a Volvo V40 estate today.

Yuck.

It won't happen, but worth the look of panic.

V40, nice

Funny you mention that Mike, I've tried the 'lets get a Cerb and sell the estate' line in the past with the misses and for some reason all I got in response was silence .
IMHO the idea has merits .

No it won't when Keira said to me:

"What are you going to do when you need more than 2 seats?"

And I replied :"Get a Cerbera." She was not having any of it. So later on I changed tack and said

"I'll tell you what, how about I get a saloon car, that has 5 seats, Air Con, Good brakes a lot of room, and a big boot?"

She said that would be good,

"Excellent!" I exclaimed "A Holden Monaro it is then!"

"What's one of those?"

"Wellll........Basically it's a Vauxhall, so it's sensible."

I have been caught looking at Chims in the classifieds on a number of occasions....

Other half says "But you only just bought the S!"

To which I relpy "I have saved some more cash since then and if I sell the MGB to get one I will still only have 2 cars "

It doesn't wash though apparently a bigger house is the next 'big purchase'

Why do they just not understand?????????????

May I suggest sir slides a little onto the mortgage for essential motoring purchases.

Hmmmm a possibility . Have to agree with her though, another house is a great idea.. I will of course stipulate it must have a large garage and ample off street parking .
