Two years ago I bought a couple of watches from steeldive.eu, was pleasantly surprised by the quality for the money. Genuinely lovely watches.
I fancied something else now, only to see that apparently all the European sites are closed?

ChatGPT came up with something, apparently they went through a rebranding and should be https://www.chronodiverwatches.com/ now?

Google confirms it but I can't reach any of the sites either.

Bit disappointed, really thought they made very good homages for bargain prices.

I do like those watches. I have a bronze one and wear it most days.

I love my Steel Dive, its been my DD since I bought it in 2023.

I bought my one direct from them on Ali Express. I would imagine the people who import them are starting their own brand.

Still going strong on Ali Express, my one arrived pretty quickly.

most of the homage brands just use Ali now, many moved over 2-3 years ago.
90% of them have "<brand name> store" as their store front on ali.

Fair enough, I'm no stranger to ali express but usually use it for stuff that costs pennies. Iirc the prices on the European site were very comparable but understandable it was perhaps an unworkable business model.

Have a look at San Martin, identical copies, different logo.

Heard many good things and will have a look. I know these Aliexpress homages are a bit hit-and-miss. The 200 quid thread has been good smile.
I was just very impressed with Steeldive for the money paid. Proper quality and a great finish on them to the point where anything more would feel like diminishing returns. I'm a big Seiko fanboy as well, but they've gotten quite a bit more expensive over the years.
