My photena is about 8ft tall and I've noticed it has lighting fallen over. The leaves look dead, not all of them just some. Do these plants get disease and do they recover or shall I pull it out?

I should add its in clay soil and obviously wet. I'm guessing this plant is in the wrong location

Photinia.

What does 'lighting fallen over' mean? Slightly?

Clay soil has very bad drainage and given all the rain we've had this winter that might account for it. Not much you can do I think except trim off the dead bits and see what it does in the spring.

I have a number of photinia on heavy clay soil and they thrive. Tough as old boots and grow really well. Do you ever give them a light hair cut each year? I’d remove the dead bits, maybe add some decent compost or mulch around the base and it’ll be fine.

Looks like there could be more than one thing going on there. It does appear that some of the leaves are being affected by leaf minor which is killing some of the leaves
