Enigmatic Black Marks

Hi,

I've been looking at a MINI used approved JCW in Enigmatic Black. Pretty shocked at the level of marking, swirls, scratches etc. Damage looks to be clear coat only and dealer has offer to throw in Paint Protect X in the deal.

Is Enigmatic Black really problematic for this kind of thing? Kind of putting me off the car a bit.

Modern black paint is very soft and shows every mark. I would move on and keep on looking. Paint Protect X won't fix the problem, it needs a machine polish and depending on how bad the marks are you might not get them all out.
