Tuscan valuation
Discussion
Car is a 2001 4 litre red rose
Now my tuscan is getting to the end of its restoration i need to sort my agreed value out with the insurance.
Its currently having a new interior at trim unique. I did everything i could when i had the chassis done. Everything either new or rebuilt, including gearbox, cluttch diff and brakes. The engine was rebuilt at powers before i brought it. The car has full history with bill of sale etc and as you can imagine countless invoices for work done. The car was repainted before i brought it so the body is very nice. Some say its high mileage at 77000 but thats kind of irrelevent now wth all the recent work done.
Basically to summarise , rebuilt chassis, diff , gearbox, new nitrons etc and all other suspension, bushes, drop links bearings all new. The interior will be brand new and the body is 8 out of 10 for paint. Some chips but nothing major.
I think it should be valued at 45 to 50k. I doubt you could buy one as good now, well apart from a 5000 mile car but as we know they come with there problems.
Thoughts welcomed

You don't say the year ... but I think 45-50K is in the correct ballpark for an Agreed Writeoff valuation ... after all it would cost that much to replace it in the same condition .... its not the price you could get if you sell it . All you need a Dealer/Service Garage/ TVR Car Club to give you a written valuation to match expectations.
.
My 2006 Tuscan Convertible (4.5) has an Agreed value of £65k with Mannings ( and has had for the last 10 years
).

I have a few vehicles with agreed values but I have always had to prove in some depth how I arrived at the value I want if it is way above market prices. they will go above market by quite a reasonable amount of you can prove what it would cost to effectively 'make' another the same, but they are not stupid and generally do their homework regarding restoration and market values!!

I think 45k for a fully sorted restored mk 1 tuscan is reasonable for a agreed value. It will need nothing when finished.Let off some steam Bennett said:

Not sure they need door puddle lights, footwell lights or engine bay lights.
