Any advice on this? Topped up 500ml of the Prestone green coolant because the bottle said "guaranteed to work with any vehicle" but now I'm reading the properties of OAT coolant can cause a reaction with glycol coolant(I think Prestone spec is this) and cause all sorts of potential problems..


Please don't tell me it'll turn into lime jelly.

whithout knowing exactly what was in it before its hard to say, it may it may not, to be sure change it all with a flush.

The Prestone Bottle says shelf life of 3-5 years. Prestone site says 10 years.

Just take the bottom radiator hose off. Give it a flush out and refill with the correct stuff. Can't imagine any serious harm done.
