Hello, I have just purchased a 1994 Chimaera , it has had a hard life over the last 10 to 15 years having some electrical issues . The person I had it from got it in 2010 and it had electrical problems then ,but he did drive it as he told me.
It has been sat in his garage since 2014 and became a storage box/ shelf over the last few years due to his ill health. I am looking for a wiring diagram now after removing all the after market alarms and miles of extra wiring . I have a book by Steve Heath that is very good but the wiring diagram is not the best . I have been reading lots of the post on this forum and seen one last night from Steve_D about making his own wiring diagram for a early chimaera . I was hoping Steve_D may read this and help with a copy . Thanks

Are you mainly looking for the engine management systems or the body systems?

Hi , thank you for the reply. I am looking for both really as the engine is turning over , but I cannot hear fuel pump running and as I understand alarm/ immobiliser and central locking all play a part and I do have a melted fuse and relay on the fuse board in the passenger foot well. Its the fuse 3 from left to right as you look at board fan and horn and the relay above is the brown 5 pin engine fan . So any wiring diagrams would be helpful at this point as I want to go through the wiring and not cause anymore damage .
Now I have removed all the none standard wiring and alarm I can see two problem , 1st the melted fuse holder and relay for the fan/horn and the door switch on the drivers side is not operating correctly . I have remove the harness from the sill and looking for a short on the door switch wires and to do this Im having to strip back the insulation tap and follow the wire that way . Thank you for any help

Steve kindly sends the diagrams to a lot of people who normally share too, that's when it becomes tricky as at the end of the day they are his hard work so it's always better to ask his permission really.
If you have access to Facebook the Chimaera and Griffith owners group has the diagrams in the files section, if not I'm someone here will help soon.
Better to post in the Chimaera section though.
