Bilstein Alternatives
Discussion
I have a Golf VR5 which is lowered somewhat, and I am putting new suspension and R32 parts under it. I have ordered a Bilstein B14 kit to fit, which will allow the R32 anti roll bar to be fitted, with R32 bottom arms (and the other bits and pieces necessary for the conversion). Unfortunately, Bilstein are messing Demon Tweeks around, and they keep moving the delivery date back. I ordered the kit in September, and the deliver was moved to November, then February, and now to April. I have no confidence that Bilstein will come through with the goods at all. I don't blame Demon Tweeks - they are being spun a yarn by their suppliers...
If I wanted to consider an alternative, which brands would you suggest?

Impressive lurking from OP.
A lot of places will show items as being available when no stock exists. I found this when trying to source some Bilstein B8 dampers for lowering my Twingo - ordered from one place and it turned out they didn't have stock, neither did Bilstein with no clear indication of when more would be produced.
I ended up spending a bit of time, emailing various suppliers with them listed as available, only for the ones who got back to me to tell me they didn't have stock either.
Ended up fitting new standard shocks with the lowering springs because I specifically wanted to stay away from cheap coilovers and not spend the same as the car on suspension alone.
KW have been mentioned, BC Racing could be another alternative?
