Hi All:wavey:

After 4 years of cooking myself pasta and stir-frys pretty much every week night, it's time for a culinary change!

Can anyone recommend any good recipies which are healthy, nutritious and above all, quick and easy?

I'm fairly handy in the kitchen, but when I get home from work, all I want to do it eat and go!

TIA:thumbup:

Go out and find something along the lines of:
Grub on a Grant
or
The Student Cookbook

Designed for those of us with some idea of cooking but not technical at all! (Plus they have sections like "Dinner party for 4", and "Feeding the girlfriend".

Fajitas if thats how you spell it. Protein, veg (all the good stuff) and carbs from the wraps its delicious and only takes about 15 mins to cook.

Slice some chicken breast or frying steak or just veggies (if you that way inclined) into long thin strips.

Fry in frying pan til lightly browned.

Add in mixed spices (Uncle Bens or something similar)

Add in thinly sliced veggies of your choice (carrots, scallions, mange tout, sugar snaps are good)

Fry until veggies are cooked or crunchy depending on how you like them.

Warm wraps in oven or nuke them.

Add salsa, bbq sauce or anything you like and voila fajitas.

Following that suggestion, I've just come back from the shop with a packet of johnnies, last month's Razzle and the Tunnel Invaders II DVD as I was too embarrassed to ask for a Jamie Oliver book at the counter

I could email you a copy of his latest book if you're too embarrassed to waste £20 on it in the shops.

Apparently Amazon have a whole "Quick and Easy" section.

I have a few easy curry staples. I found a new one last time that I was able to knock up in about an hour. See here. There are a few others on the Lime Pickle thread too.

Boiled bacon with salad and carrots is quick, easy and not too bad for you too.

for healthy chips just cut some potatos in their skins into chip shapes about 1cm think, lob them in the oven with a bit of olive oil, sea salt and black pepper, perhaps bit of tyme if your feeling adventurous.

The best chefs are men.

On that basis, I refuse to cook!
