I found an old thread from 2014 with some good driving routes linked together using google maps, however the roads really have changed since then. I have a modified mk3 focus Rs and would love to know some good twistys local-ish to maidstone area? Say a 30 mile radius

That is a nice drive. The road to Iden from Playden had a closed sign yesterday and I read there are closures on the Smallhythe Rd from Tenterden.

Worth checking any time you head out https://one.network/uk/kent

When open, the road surface over the Rother between Wittersham and Iden is appalling to the point of dangerous, and has been for years. I avoid that route when I can, (also beware horse and cyclists) and don't use the Cranbrook Rd from Tenterden to Golfords (nr Sissinghurst) as it's so potholed. The Udimore Rd out of Rye to Cripps Corner is scenic but don't head towards Seddlescombe from there, more mega potholes.

The Military Rd from Rye is popular with bikers, so plod used be there with cameras sometime. If you divert toward Dungeness, The Pilot is popular for fish and chips and there's a monthly Sunday morning meet, Romney Retros, which is interesting.

Not to be all negative, I'm down that way quite a bit - good god the roads are shocking in Kent, even worse than Essex. If you can find a good relatively pothole free route I'd be surprised honestly.
