Please can some one help. My laptop (chrome browser) has become infected by find-quickly.com and I can't seem to remove it.

I've followed the online helps and reset the DNS cache, removed recently downloaded apps, installed free malwarebyte.

Malwarebytes doesn't find the virus but does block it so Chrome stops working/searching.

It only seems to affect chrome not Edge

I uninstalled and reinstalled chrome which seemed to work but 1/2 hour later it was back.

What am I missing? What can I do?

Thanks

Jon

Have you tried these steps?

Chrome Settings
Advanced
Reset and clean up
Reset settings to original defaults
Reset Settings
Enter in chrome navigation bar: chrome.google.com/sync
Clear data

In windows check start up programmes and running processes for any other unknown stuff.

Also, as good practice I'd amend your post and title to not contain an actual address of malware, make it "dot com" for example.

Forget Malwarebytes & use a decent AV package:

I don't have those options in chrome settings

All I get is

Settings
Reset settings

There is no advanced tab to select

Just downloaded AVG free antivirus and it detects nothing.

So Malwarebytes And AVG don't find it.

Sorry, on Chrome on windows it seems to be click the three dots on top right of browser, then on left hand side click on reset settings which opens another dialog box (advanced step seems to be mobile chrome).
