VW Polo Mk5 2010 DSG fluid change - what tool do I need?
Discussion
Hi,
I gather from various sources that the VW Polo 2010 MK5 petrol auto gearbox has just the one drain/fill plug.
What insert do you recommend I need to purchase so I can fill up the transmission once drained.
Or, is it simpler to remove battery and tray to then remove dsg filter and fill from above?
Thanks in advance.
MC
P.S. Is the insert tool/adapter part number something like this..? VAS6262

I assume yours is the 6 speed DQ250?
I think the Polo only used the dry-clutch seven speed DQ200.normalbloke said:
If it’s the ill fabled DQ200, all bets are off….sealed for life, seperate oil for the mechatronics and gearbox itself. Also, DQ200 would not have the filter at the top( or anywhere else).
Just looked it up on VW Service Info, as above - there's no official procedure or tool to change the oil in these. Could it be you heard bad things about the 6 speed? Or is there an issue with your 7 speed?Gassing Station | Home Mechanics | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
