Long shot, but worth a punt just in case.
What should be used to reattach the electrical connection on a heated rear window element? Mine has come adrift but to be fair looks like its not the first time although was working correctly a few weeks ago last time I drove the car. As its an 80's Sunbeam with a glass tailgate and no metal surround, I'm worried that just using a tiny bit of solder might damage it with the heat. A replacement would be very difficult to source. Any suggestions?

I think you'll need to use conductive paint. I've never used it myself but it's a product I'm aware of.

You can buy electrically conductive adhesives from Amazon for the job. A couple of examples here,https://www.amazon.co.uk/PERMATEX-INC-21351-REAR-WINDOW/dp/B000HBGKWE/ref=pd_sim_d_sccl_4_3/262-6072872-2660950?pd_rd_w=m23sY&content-id=amzn1.sym.c7e2bad4-5f0a-4571-946c-cadf3ebf9cb4&pf_rd_p=c7e2bad4-5f0a-4571-946c-cadf3ebf9cb4&pf_rd_r=AFCAQTWQG7SV13RH3KN7&pd_rd_wg=LpEUw&pd_rd_r=cfd9a075-759e-4c92-970c-a40f7c329202&pd_rd_i=B000HBGKWE&psc=1

I've just read the reviews on that product and most replies are saying it's just a conductive paint and not an adhesive. I'll need to find something similar that will stick the metal tab to the electrical elements

Couldn't click on the first link but think it might be this
