I have a 1/18th 6x6 crawler kit on the way. It's going to turn up in army green which is a bit drab, so I thought I'd ask for suggestions on paint schemes. This is the vehicle in question:

Thus far my ideas are hippie bus (probably over powder blue), or Ghostbusters. Decals available online for either. I think I favour mildly silly versus making an offroad fire tender or ambulance. I also have access to a Cricut and can work Inkscape, so vinyl patterns are doable (subject to being able to fold them over the truck).

Also I'm not very good at painting, so simple on that front is good.

Any good ideas? Ta in advance.

Until you need to go and have an Al fresco poo and you have to head back to your truck just as a herd of zebras run past…. Where’s the *****g truck!

Or until a male zebra thinks your truck is a female zebra!

Good points, but there are very few zebras whereabouts, and just like Vyvyan from The Young Ones, I poo before I get up. wink

My first posting in the military, the base had loads of these exact Russian trucks parked all over the place.

Any of them in interesting colour schemes?

My guess is not, sadly.

I do like the Ocado idea.

Or do it up advertising Bile Beans or similar, 1930s styleish.

It's done! Mostly Plastikote, and stickers for a 1:10 VW bus. In case anyone's interested it was a pretty good build (once I had the right instructions).
