I’m in love and can’t wait to get this. Can you believe the insurance is less on this than our BMW M4 Competition!!

Looks great. I must admit I miss my DB9 Volante in the summer.

If you ordered the vehicle from new wasn't the deal done before you saw it anyway?

It was a stock car so we paid a deposit and did the finance, subject to us seeing it today - hence why we went up today.

The car they had, had the exact options we wanted apart from the piano finish on the centre console - would have preferred carbon fibre

That looks very nice indeed. A stock car though…surely we are all meant to believe that Aston Martins are only built on the back of firm customer orders nowadays? wink

Seriously though, it looks splendid in black. Let’s just hope the weather improves for you. Very well done sir.
clap

Thanks everyone

Yes it’s from Park Lane - and they’re giving us lunch at Claridges next month when we pick it up.

It was a cancelled order, person who ordered it had to move to Dubai for work - so there we go. List was £245 and we got it for £210

Wanted a better GT car than the Vantage we had as looking to do some European trips this year

Congrats, looks great smile

I too was surprised last year when my V12VS Roadster was £50 cheaper than Audi SQ5 for same cover/miles. Astons must be low risk for insurers thumbup

Had my last tug of war with the dealer before we signed the papers today and they have agreed to offer a PPF to front bumper, bonnet, side mirrors and lamps. But after having a stage one detailing and also ceramic coating

If you're referring to the carbon section in the middle console around the switchgear, you can order it and get it fitted through your dealer.
The piano black surface around the switchgear will look greasy and dirty very fast.

Certainly one of several LS quotes that are a bit Rachael, but to be fair, dealers do need cars for showroom display and demonstration.
Behind the Gaydon front door, AML probably approve of those cars being sold under list, because with each sale, they can then sell another one to the dealer. It has always been the same.

To OP.
A beautiful car, which will give you great enjoyment.

Congrats, great looking car!

Don't forget to ask to upgrade to the major new software release (QN-30-2006, end of january 2025), that finally includes wired Android Auto en wireless CarPlay as well as easy turn off all these assistant systems and warnings and much better readable layout and fonts (see other thread for more).

Enjoy!

Thanks so much and yes this is something we are very much aware of. When we had the loan car we noticed the main fonts on forward dash were sooooo tiny and yes turning off the lane assist, speedy assist and sign warning would be welcome

The new software (v912) all solves this. Have it now on my DB12 Volante and still a few small bugs, but much better and also faster/smoother to use.

May I ask what are the small bugs remaining?

Also do you have Bowers? I noticed no updated system did not have controls for bass, treble etc. Can you see them now? Thanks

See https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

For example: the DTMF bug is not solved (using the built in phone keypad to control remote services, like voicemail, alarm systems, etc). When you use Carplay or Android Auto, it works via that route, but not when using (only) a bluetooth phone connection.

It is also still not possible to connect 2 bluetooth devices at the same time (e.g one for calling and the other for music streaming, a typical use case when travelling longer distances).

Both features are explicitely mentioned in the user manual, but no luck so far.

I have indeed B&W audio. There are equalizer settings for the sound, but a little hidden (both before and after the sw update).
