I am after a simple CRM tool to enable bulk Outlook emails.

Less than a hundred or so at a time using a standard template with an excel data feed (recipient name, company referenced in the email and their email address). Ideally auto follow up email capability for no response.

Have used HubSpot in the past, not that impressed.

Low cost / free ideally.

Any recommendations appreciated.

For 100 odd can’t you just setup an email mail merge?

Make sure your data is clean and tidy and it should be fine

For us we need to personalise some of the content that’s specific to that client, so something that can read and upload a csv is what we’re looking for.

Open and response rates to email mailshots are so bad you could just add a column to your excel and manually record who replies from a pool of 100.

Otherwise most places I've worked used MailChimp as they offered a free tier. I see they're now owned by Intuit who are a terrible company. They seem to bury the free tier so you sign up for a free trial to one plan then have to downgrade.

We would get reports from our marketing team as to who had clicked on any links, replied in order to follow up.

Thanks for responses so far.

I am told that using a basic mail merge from outlook can risk your email being black listed. CRM tools time sequence your emails to avoid this.

My offering is very niche (not dodgy!) and I get a 20% plus open rate and 5-7% response rate.

Will look at Mail Chimp. Any other ideas appreciated.

We use it at work and it’s very impressive.

Look at Mailerlite it’s a Mailchip type of software but better
It has a free version that would cope with your volumes.
You can import your data via .csv/ excel file import.
We use it on clients website to automatically import subscription signups from the website to the mail system. Have shod as number tv of my clients his to use it and they Su as log get it on the first showing.
