Can anyone recommend a good quality body shop around the Central belt? Preferably VW approved, although that’s not essential.
It’s a light to medium rear impact.

Just don’t want to go down the insurers own repairer route.

Many thanks.

The only one I know of on the East side of the central belt as being manufacturer approved is Eastern Western Accident Centre.

Ive chosen to go independant classic restoration workshop for my bodywork, but I'm dealing with Mk7 Golf sill rust rather than accident damage.

Can I ask which one that is? (I have a few classic cars)

I used the Ingram Accident Repair Centre in Ayr a few years back, they are VW group approved.

The paint work finish and match was superb, but I had a couple of issues with the fit and finish on parts they had to remove and refit. This was on a 6yo Golf.

nowhere to compare them with though, I used them cos the third party insurance company - their client 100% at fault - were trying to control where the car would be repaired and I'm sure they would have cut corners to get it repaired as cheap as possible.

Investor Classics in Pencaitland. I was impressed with their previous work, a real mix of cars and depths of restoration.

Car goes in at the end of the month, will let others know how I get on!

What sort of work are you needing done?

Thanks. I do most of my own work on the old’uns, but always interested what’s about for more serious stuff.

I am familiar with them - I went to look at a car they had up for sale a while back.
