Just watching some of Passats de Canto Spanish tv coverage on their channel.
Struck me that TTE were running a subtly different Celica for a fair bit of that season, does anyone know how long they were running the dodgy restrictor, I know it was found in Catalunya, and was it not Australia that people started to think "hang on"
I am sure that at times they found power from somewhere, the amount of times Carlos or Dider would suddenly find a stage time from nowhere, I know this is not really fair, but would love to know how much it was going on back then!!

Wouldn't be Carlos - he was at Subaru in 1994/95. Dider, Juha & Armin.
There was a long podcast about this on Dirtfish about 4-5 years ago. And Toyota outed themselves really - on the SuperSpecial at Langley Park in Australia, they were pulling away from the startline significantly quicker than the other car......And that stage was used 3-4 times on the event; I seem to recall that's when the red flags were raised.
Then Juha was actually leading Catalunya, on Tarmac ahead of drivers who were better than him on the Tar......something didn't add up.
Juha actually drove the newer ST-205 at the final few events of 1994, whilst Didier stayed in the ST-185 when he was going for the drivers title. I'd have to listen back to it to see if they mention when the device was first used.
