High engine temperature

Good morning Gentlemen
My vantage v8 4.3 2006 tells me High engine temperature.
This happens even as soon as the engine is started.

Then the notice disappears

I'll try to add engine fluid, but when the engine was warm it seemed right
I read this problem on DB9 but nothing on vantage.

Any advice?

What is the exact error message ?

Do you mean you are topping up the coolant header tank ?

Clear the engine codes and see if the message reappears.

The error he writes to me is "high engine temperature"

How do I clear error codes?
Only with diagnostic tools?

Many of us use the Foxwell NT530 with Aston Martin software to read and reset error codes, its probably the best value for money scan tool for common issues

it could be a faulty coolant temp sensor, this part here (check around online for a cheaper price)
