Recliner recommendations (to sleep on)
Discussion
I will be having shoulder surgery soon and apparantly a recliner is the most comfortable piece of furniture to sleep on for the first week or two. I was hoping I wouldn't have to consider one of these monstrosities until I'm at least 105yrs old but here I am...
Does anyone have any recommendations please on which ones / type / brand are the comfiest? I also suffer with low back issues so I don't want to buy the cheapest if I'm going to lose my arse in it due to inadequate support.
Thanks

I suffer a bad back and decided to buy a rise and recline chair.
Market place has some great bargains,I picked up an armchair and 2 seater for £600 in virtually new condition. They are both HSA twin motor affairs which so far have been faultless after my 6 month ownership.
I can’t vouch for sleeping comfort however, they are very comfortable.
The rise function will also make getting up from the chair easier on your shoulder after the surgery.

Thanks smifffymoto. Good idea re marketplace - I had a quick look on eBay but they all seemed to be collection only - which is understandable, but difficult. Ideally I could do with hiring one.. will have to have a Google to see if any local places do such a thing. Once I've finished with it I would need to get rid / sell it.Market place has some great bargains,I picked up an armchair and 2 seater for £600 in virtually new condition. Buy one, almost any one you can get delivered in time! Go and sit in it to test for comfort, everybody is different and what suits me mightn't suit you.
12 months ago i had open heart surgery and realised that people really did mean it when they said you won't sleep or get comfortable in a bed or on a sofa. Second day after being discharged from hospital, 6 days post surgery, my wife drove me (before i drove her totally up the wall) to the local second hand shop and i tried several. The only one i liked was delivered next day and i sleep somewhat comfortably for the first time since surgery.
In honesty i didn't care what it looked like, we certainly wouldn't have chosen it normally, but it is "disposable" as and when i don't actually need it. Think of it as white goods.

Thanks. I think I'll probably get one anyway as our sofas aren't the comfiest in all honesty so it'd probably get used in the daytime too. A holder for my can of beer will be top priority 12 months ago i had open heart surgery and realised that people really did mean it when they said you won't sleep or get comfortable in a bed or on a sofa.
