DB11 V12 Battery Control Module Reset
Discussion
I was looking in the service manual and there is no procedure called for to go in and reset the module to let it know a new battery has been installed.
I forgot to do this on a 2012 Porsche Cayenne and ended up having parking sensor faults afterwards so I do find it odd that Aston doesn’t have a step in the replacement procedures for the tech to connect the AMDS and do this. Though that would make a battery replacement basically a dealer service item since not many shops have an AMDS, so in that regard I like that I can do a battery change at home with no problem.

Yes, I checked and cross checked. The battery provider (in the US) looked up the model and year, their documents stated - no battery module to reset. Even still, I have a pretty sophisticated Autel diagnostic tool that covers "almost" everything on the planet (EXCEPT AM, of course), and I used the generic Battery module reset program, and the diagnostic was unsuccessful with a message essentially - unable to launch program. With this tool, I have been able to do deep scans choosing the MB C190 as the base model. Sometimes it works. However, on the battery reset, it appears the AMG GT series (C190) also does not use a Battery management module.
So far, I've been good as installed.
