The place where you are ready to buy something but instead of all the online reviews you would like someone (a PHer) who has actually spent their folding and have the item. Say what you are looking at and please can a PHer give their opinions. It could be size you are worried about (I will finish this OP about that) so others can post real life experience/piccies. Do you worry about whether a purchase will actually be worn? Listen to answers how other people fitted it in with their collection and life. You would like a watch because it has nerdy features that nobody outside of watches is interested in, ask if this matters OR other nerds have actually found some personal joy in that. Whatever you are worried about a PH buddy must have been there before you for your particular watch you are interested in.

Now me, I have dismissed a Grand Seiko Shunbun as it is too big for my six and two thirds inch wrist. I love everything else about the watch and it brings many new things to the other watches I own. In my mind I will own my first GS in the next couple of months, the number one for me is the Shunbun. It has a lug to lug that is the same as a Seiko diver I bought in December that fits/wears really well. Please could a watch buddy with similar small wrists post their experience with wearing this watch?

Not quite, but I have 7 1/4" wrists and the Winter Snow GS, which I think is the same case. I'm entirely happy with the size, but if it was a couple of mm bigger that's still work.

I'd suggest it's worth trying one. They're not huge.

Thank you for those helpful replies. There are smaller GS that I really like. I am going to book an appointment at the London GS boutique to try on a lot of different models. The Shunbun in pictures and YouTube reviews is the watch that really does it for me but I had dismissed it as too large. Now I am thinking maybe not. I always put store in listening to a range of long term users opinions whether that is watches, bikes or cars.

If you have a watch in mind I am sure some PH posters could help you like I have been helped (encouraged to spend money on toys, the PH way).

Cheers Llentil

The boutique is lovely. I turned up on a whim and they were friendly and helpful (and did that thing where they pretend the watch you're wearing is really nice). No pressure whatsoever.

Definitely worth a visit.

Wrist shots are notoriously poor at showing how a watch actually wears, but hopefully this is better than nothing.

My SLGH017G (or Night Birch) case shape is slightly different than the Shunbun, but the overall dimensions are very similar.

Can't remember my wrist measurement exactly but I think its somewhere between 7 and 7.5.

I can't believe you'll have any problems with the Shunbun. Good luck & have fun looking.
