East Anglia is not a good place to own an Aston. AM Cambridge has closed and the monkeys in Long Stratton are only good for eating bananas. No way would I ever go back. So for anything that needs a stamp or AMDS I go to Nicholas Mee who are excellent. For most other things I use Fairfax in Colchester.

ETA - your profile doesn't permit e-mails. Are you still doing car shows?

Not a well known make (to me anyway), but I saw one recently on TV. It might have been 'Bangers and Cash'.
Showed photos of the factory and I think they said the building still exists today.

I’m near Ely and I’m just in the free transport radius for works, used them 6 years now, always very efficient. My car is already booked in for annual on 31st March! Give them a ring they might charge a bit for transport, worth a phone call

I know exactly how you feel! It has to be done, a toe in the Premiere League.

Drop me a line through my profile, I have events you might be interested in.

Ah yes, well spotted Steve. So, another former TVR owner has made the jump I see!

Another small British car manufacturer that went to the wall, this one in 1931. They produced many of the parts required to build the car which was all hand built in their factory. Tiny numbers of this high quality vehicle were produced with a handful or two now left on the road. My own Swift being a 11.9hp four seat open tourer. I do not know if the original factory building is in existence. For Swift they were brought down by a bad deal with. ‘Harper-Bean’ compounded by the. rise of mass production n Austin and Morris.
Time for. me to hopefully indulge myself into another hand built high quality car with a little more. than 11.9hp under the bonnet.

Not sure whereabouts in East Anglia you are, but I'm in St Ives and use Martin at Pristine Automotive in Huntingdon to look after my 2018 Vantage (after growing frustrated with AM Hatfield). A Porsche owner I know recommended him to me (Martin is an ex-Porsche tech but is a car obsessive) so popped to see him on the off chance and was instantly impressed. He's done a full service on mine, a couple of investigations and discs and pads all round.
