Junghans Max Bill Chronoscope
Discussion
Afternoon all,
I have a small watch collection but recently have been lusting over the Max Bill Chronoscope on a tan leather strap.
I think the dial just looks beautiful and am tempted to look at picking one up.
Any thoughts from anyone here who has owned one?
I have done the usual reading to get am impression on the pros and cons (beautiful dial, noisy movement, very thick body etc..) but always good to get the opinion of others..

I remember reading comments from some users on the watches subreddit- those who bought them sight unseen were a bit disappointed as the dial fell flat for them in person. Might be worth having a look in a jewellers, there are not many UK based ones who stock Junghans in brick & mortar shops though- I know for sure they're stocked in Selfridges though.

not a lot to buy £36 quid springs to mind plus fitting
Can you expand on this please - I'm not sure I fully understand. All good insights so far though thanks.
I liked the look of these and tried one on in a Selfridges store years ago - maybe 10 years.
I was really disappointed. My abiding memory is that it felt like a toy - it was very lightweight, and not in a good way, it felt very flimsy and the chrono pushers also had an insubstantial feel to them.
All very subjective of course and the looks still appealed, but having handled it I just didn't want it any more.

Also have always like the look- and there are others in the range that are lovely elegant too.

Saddened to read they are not that well liked in real life.

Had a black dial MB chrono years ago. Looked good. Glass scratches super easily. Mine was on their cheapish bracelet and the whole thing seemed somehow fragile.
Also had a Junghans Meister Kalendar which looked great. Bracelet was far better too. Far preferred it to the MB chrono. Would have again (except don't collect them anymore).
