“It’s now understood that fats from whole foods, when consumed in moderation as part of a balanced diet, are not as harmful as previously believed, and actually have some health benefits.”

People coming to their senses at last.

I still prefer semi skimmed milk, can't get on with the creamy flavour of full fat. Probably just what I'm used to.

Its always been full-fat in our house and at the weekends a ltr of gold top / Jersey at the weekend lick, as a treat. Also real butter, that doesn't live in the fridge.
If it was good enough for my parents and grandparents (all of whom lived till 80+) then it will be good enough for me and my family.

Full fat milk is fine. Obviously, don't drink litres of the stuff every day.

Fat is fine, but many people eat too much if it and too much sugar (often in drinks, highly processed food and wholly unnecessary regular grazing "treat" snacks) and do not do anywhere near the levels of physical activity that require such a large diet.

Always full fat!

(and I quite often buy Tom Parker bottles of double cream and neck them in the car park - yum)

Drink a coffee with 80% full fat milk then a coffee with 80% skimmed milk and the huge difference in taste explains why FF is increasing in popularity before you even look at the health benefits.

Love full-fat milk. But I drink about four pints a day so had to switch to Semi-Skimmed otherwise I'd be enormous. Organic of course. Love butter too. And eggs. All the things that seem to be bad for you, or good for you depending on what day it is.
2 litres of full fat is around 1300 calories and semi skimmed 950.
If you're worried about your weight I'd be more concerned about your daily intake rather than which type of milk to drink.
Like most things, moderation is the key

Grew up on full fat farm bottled (green top) milk, so should have died at least twice by now, once from brucellosis and once from sclerosis;)

But I am now used to semi-skimmed and like it. Always been a real butter man though, none of this awful spread stuff.

I try to eat real food in moderation as much as I can. And avoid food fads.

Full fat for coffee cereals and pleasure drinking.
Semi for tea, of which we drink gallons.

Farmfoods full fat is to my taste among the best of the standard supermarket milks, very well priced when you buy 2 x 2litre packs, Bovaer free to.

Used to love milk, it is indeed a nectar from the Gods. I just can't reconcile myself with the production process. Gave it up years ago, miss it every day!

We have one of those vending machines in our village

You were shocked to discover that it was squeezed from cows' breasts?

I do like full fat milk but doubt it’d do me any good the amount of coffee I drink. I stick to semi, and it’s all we buy in the office.

Imagine a world where people bought eggs, cream and full fat milk .

Made their own butter, ate decent proteins and didn't consume things with hundreds of different ingredients. And the thing is, anyone could do this.

The low fat craze was a bit mad. Similar when everyone was encouraged to by margarine instead of butter.

Probably where some of my distrust of authority figures comes from.

The kids always get FF milk. Plenty of goodness and the additional calories are no issue for active kids. I only have it in my coffee but that's only because I'm trying to be semi sensible on the calorie intake.

Crazy in a world that allows humans to overeat, to then design a drug and to profit off this . Sugar , highly processed and fried foods are to blame. Not natural products.

Never heard of that illness ?

Does it make your chin grow longer and you develop a strange urge to mutter 'good game, good game' ?

Always full fat for me, tastes so much better in everything, less sugar too

I get Cornish creamery stuff for my coffee

Always makes me laugh when women in Costa get a skinny latte, and then fill it with sugary caramel syrup.

I think people are waking up to the fact that in the main, 'low fat' equals 'ultra-processed'.
